New Features in VisualDOC 4.0

Optimization AND Design OF Experiments

  • Probabilistic optimization (Could be used with any existing
    optimization method and DOE):
    • Simulation methods: Monte-Carlo, Latin Hypercube
    • Approximate methods: Mean-Value, Monte-Carlo on Response Surface, Latin Hypercube on Response Surface
    • Any distribution parameter (and all of them together) can be design variables. Parameter representation or mean value/standard deviation representation can be employed. Parameter can be linked together or related through a synthetic function.
  • Analysis only capability (including probabilistic analysis)
  • New versions of DOT and BIGDOT optimizers

Interfaces

  • VisualScript improvements:
    • Loop statement
    • Array elements (extract/modify several numbers at once given a pattern)
    • Matlab and Excel could be called as elements of VisualScript
    • VisualScript elements can be saved separately and reused later
    • Improved look and feel

Post-Processing

  • What-If study tool

Other

  • More robust database engine.
  • General usability enhancements and bug fixes
